Savills has been appointed letting agent for AEROX, a new development of five new mid-tech, office and R&D buildings at London Oxford Airport in North Oxford.

The appointment was announced as Motcomb Estates started construction on the first phase of the scheme, due to complete in Q2 2025.

Phase One of the development consists of the first mid-tech building comprising three units of around 7,500 sq ft,  which can be combined to provide up to 23,000 sq ft of accommodation.

There will also be a new access road, central landscaping, secure covered bike stores, car parking and a café amenity block delivered as part of the first phase on the prominent six-acre gateway site at the established business aviation airport, fronting Langford Locks.

Future phases will include flexible mid-tech units ranging in size from 7,500 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft. The units will be available to pre-let at a quoting rent on application.

The latest phase of development follows the recent completion of the Airbus Helicopters UK HQ on the site which was visited by The Prince of Wales in September.

The significant transport links, due to its location between London and Birmingham, include the M40 and the A34 dual carriageway. Oxford Parkway and Hanborough railway stations are both within three miles.

Jan Losch, associate director in the commercial agency at Savills Oxford, said: “This exciting redevelopment will bring a range of high spec mid-tech units to the market in 2025, an increasingly popular product type within the science, technology and advanced engineering companies.

“With its prime location in the Northern Cluster, high specification and sustainability at its core we are expecting significant interest from a diverse range of knowledge intensive occupiers.”
