Plans for a special educational needs (SEN) school in Winnersh go before councillors on Wednesday (September 8) with a recommendation for approval.
Wokingham Borough Council’s planning committee will consider the plans from the Department for Education and its contractor Reds10 for the 150-space Oak Tree School which will serve Reading and Wokingham.
It is earmarked for a 1.7-hectare site close to the existing Wheatfield Primary School at Winnersh Farm. It will be accessed off Woodward Close.
The two-storey single block with sports pitches and parking is for pupils aged from five to 19.
The team on the project includes HLM Architects and DHA as planning consultant.
