A full planning application, for the change of use from offices into 111 apartments, for Block C County Hall, Taunton, has been approved at Tuesday’s Somerset Council Planning Committee meeting.
The vote for approval was unanimous, and is subject to the following conditions:
- Prior completion of a Section 106 Agreement
- Conditions set out in the committee report, and delegation of authority to the chief planning officer, in consultation with the chair of the planning committee where appropriate, in order to:
- Make minor amendments to wording, numbering and sequencing of planning conditions
- Agree minor variations to the heads of terms and final drafting of the Section 106 Agreement
- Amend conditions where necessary to secure compliance with national and local planning policy
- Potentially refuse the application where the applicant has failed to progress the Section 106 Agreement within six months of the committee’s resolution.
