TCN UK has launched its latest co-working space, in the form of Fuel Studios in Norwich.
Located in Norwich’s Lanes district, Fuel Studios provides flexible, affordable office space for new-regeneration start-ups to develop amongst thriving, more well-established businesses.
Featuring large colourful break out areas and a strong brand and design identity, it provides the ideal creative campus for vibrant businesses and welcomes cross-collaboration and networking, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to be part of a strong network from the get-go.
The 70,000 sq ft building contains private offices from 180 sq ft, up to large 15,000 sq ft floor plates; with the renovation costing £250,000.
The 3,500 sq ft first floor of the building, previously a private office, was vacant. TCN identified a market for co-working space in Norwich, to allow smaller businesses access to high-quality office space, and to join and add to the creative community already established in the Fuel Studios building.
The design of the space tied in with the look and feel of the rest of Fuel Studios, and included a brand-new kitchen and bar, meeting pods, breakout spaces, table tennis, 38 individual desks for flexible members and a 14-person meeting room.
Recycled desk furniture was sourced to ensure that the environmental impact of the project was as low as possible. Graphic design for the wall art was produced and installed by Creative Sponge, a business situated within Fuel Studios.
Prior to the launch, over 70 per cent of the 40 dedicated desks were let. Desks are available to rent on a monthly basis, providing flexibility.
The space was officially opened by the Lord Mayor and Sherriff of Norwich at a well-attended launch event.
Toby Bidwell, founder and director of TCN, said: “We are excited, and proud, to launch our new co-working desk space at Fuel Studios. This is the logical next step in welcoming new members who want to be part of our thriving community of Creative, Digital and Tech businesses in the heart of Norwich.
“We love the ‘can do attitude’ of Norwich business, and it is everywhere to be seen in Fuel Studios, the place is buzzing!”
