A 10-year lease has been agreed that will keep TK Maxx at the Broad Street Mall in Reading.

Moorgarth Group, asset manager of the centre, has completed the deal which keeps the clothing retailer in its existing two-storey store.

Moorgarth Group managing director Gary Lewis said: “We are delighted that TK Maxx has joined a number of other key retailers in committing their long-term future to the centre.

“It is a very exciting time for Broad Street Mall and demonstrates that our strategy of modernisation and diversification is attracting considerable attention.”

The deal comes soon after Moorgarth’s announcement of the new cinema at the former Argos store. Iceland, New Look and Poundland have all committed to 10-year leases at the mall in the last 15 months and, last year, permission was granted for a new food hall concept at the southern side of the centre.

Leasing agents for the mall are Knight Frank and Hicks Baker.
