Trium Environmental Consulting LLP has submitted a scoping document to Hounslow Borough Council on behalf of the Brentford Opportunity Sarl to demolish the former SEGA building and replace it with 1,000 homes in Brentford.

Brentford Opportunity Sarl is seeking detailed planning is seeking permission for the redevelopment of an area of 1.62 hectares bounded by Great West Road and commercial buildings to the north, railway lines and Brentford Football Club Stadium to the south, and industrial units to the east and west.

The planned development is for four blocks up to 17 storeys high, including office space, industrial space and 1,000 homes. A new station and square are proposed, along with walkways connecting the public realm.

The scoping report acknowledges that the development will raise issues concerning heritage assets such as Kew Gardens, Gunnersbury Park, and Strand on the Green.

Completion if planning consent is achieved is expected by the end of 2027.
