The boss of London tube network has agreed to be guest speaker at the next UK Property Forums event.
Andy Lord, chief operating officer of London Underground, will be keynote speaker for Uxbridge Social & Lunch on Friday, May 6, which has been sponsored by Arlington. There will also be a panel of property professionals for a debate after his speech.
The progress of Crossrail, how Covid has affected the underground operation, news of new line extensions and what the post-Covid future of the service looks like, are all subjects for debate and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and network.
UK Property Forums managing director Matthew Battle said: “It’s a great coup to get such a key person on the London scene to speak but we expect him to attract people from further afield as well.
“Readers of both our London West and Thames Tap newsletters will have good reason to want to hear what he has to say. Crossrail has put the Thames Valley on the tube map so we expect Andy to interest a great many people, not just from the property perspective but from the perspective of the business world in general.
“We are currently putting together an expert panel to try to make this a truly worthwhile event.”
The panel will include Daniel Pagella, commercial director for Arlington, and we are currently seeking to get a developer and an investor to join us.
The event is from 1pm to 3pm at The Clubhouse at Uxbridge Business Park. At 2.30pm there will be an opportunity to see some of the space at the business park.
