London Square and Clarion Housing Group are celebrating a decade of successful collaboration in delivering affordable homes at Twickenham Square.

Located on the former Egerton Road campus of Richmond College, this development will offer 212 new homes, 50 per cent of which will be affordable housing. The project includes a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes in London, addressing local housing needs.

Twickenham Square features a variety of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, each with a balcony or terrace, and spacious three and four-bedroom family houses with private gardens. The development is designed around a central landscaped square and will introduce new public areas and pedestrian-friendly routes, enhancing the neighbourhood’s appeal.

A silver birch tree was planted at a recent ceremony to mark the project’s progress. VIP guests, including local council members and community leaders, toured the site to view the first homes under construction. The event highlighted the positive impact of partnership in promoting housing delivery in the borough.

Duncan Burns, Regional Director of Construction at Clarion Housing Group, stated, “Twickenham Square is a brilliant example of what we can achieve through meaningful, long-term partnerships. At Clarion, we’re proud to be working with London Square to deliver high-quality affordable homes that reflect the needs and aspirations of local communities.”

This project is London Square’s fourth development in the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames, complementing other successful projects like the restoration of The Star and Garter Building. This year marks London Square’s 15th anniversary and Clarion Housing Group’s 125th anniversary, celebrating their growth and impact in the housing sector.
