Buyers can get a first glimpse inside the first modular homes at Northstowe, as two show homes have been unveiled at the House by Urban Splash Inholm Neighbourhood.

The new Inholm neighbourhood features three schools, parks, an outdoor gym, two new waterparks and other leisure facilities, as well as being connected by good transport links.

The Inholm neighbourhood of Northstowe focuses on customer choice, where there is the option for people to choose homes that best suit their lifestyle, by using a choice of six different layouts, though these layouts can easily be modified at a later date due to the non-load bearing walls internally.

Guy Ackernley, House by Urban Splash residential director said “As we adapt the way we live, work and play in a post-Covid world, it is imperative that our homes reflect the changing ways we use them. In the past year, our lives have largely been lived at home, and makeshift offices, entertaining spaces and outdoor space aren’t sustainable in the long-term.

What we’ve done at Inholm is given our customer’s choice, with a range of layouts to suit a range of lifestyles. Our new show homes demonstrate this, each showing flexible spaces that can be used as places to sleep, work, entertain, play and study – but with an inherent design that means this can be changed in the future.”

The two show homes will showcase the ‘garden living’ layout, a more traditional space, and the ‘loft living’ layout, an inverted layout to the traditional space, with living areas upstairs and bedrooms downstairs.

The homes were manufactured off-site in a factory and are the first Northstowe homes to use modern methods of construction, giving a different aesthetic to customers. They offer 2.6-metre-high ceilings, oversized windows, and have 139 sq. metres of total space.

They also offer have high standard finishes, high-speed broadband and energy-efficient heating, and all come with private bike stores and parking.

Mr Ackernley continued “Northstowe is a thriving community with so much going on and several hundred homes already here. There’s the weekly food and drinks vans courtesy of ‘Northstowe Foodies’ and lots of active community groups to get involved in and new sports and education facilities and speedy new public transport connections to nearby Cambridge and London via the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway.

As we’ve seen at our other, sold-out House by Urban Splash neighbourhoods up and down the country, this is the most exciting time for buyers. Now is the time to get in early and be a founding member of an example of a new truly sustainable place to live, work and play.”
