Hillingdon Planning has granted approval for a significant mixed-use development on Uxbridge High Street, spearheaded by DNA Uxbridge Ltd.

This project involves the demolition of existing structures at 148 – 154 High Street, Uxbridge, to pave the way for a new development that includes a hotel, residential co-living accommodations, and commercial spaces. The proposal, which has been given approval subject to a s106 legal agreement and a Stage 2 referral to the Mayor of London, aims to revitalise the area with modern infrastructure and enhanced public spaces.

The development will feature approximately 160 hotel rooms and 320 co-living units, providing affordable living options in the town center. The ground floor will reintroduce around 1,115 sqm of retail space, enhancing the commercial vibrancy of Uxbridge High Street and Belmont Road. A notable aspect of the project is the transformation of Cocks Yard into a high-quality public area with improved pedestrian routes, fostering better connectivity to Belmont Road.

Additional amenities include co-working spaces, shared kitchen areas, residential lounges, games rooms, secure cycle parking, a 24-hour concierge, a cinema room, and a roof terrace. The hotel will also feature a café and bar on the eighth floor, offering guests a unique dining experience. The approval is contingent upon amendments to Conditions 5 and 7, as detailed in the Addendum Report, and the inclusion of two previously omitted drawings in Condition 2.

This development promises to enhance the urban landscape of Uxbridge, providing modern living and commercial opportunities while improving public spaces.
