New look for the Eastern Echo

Using rudimentary software and a barrel load of enthusiasm, myself and Alan Bunce set off on a journey into the big, bad world of local journalism. Reporting on the Thames Valley market, both of us were frustrated with the reducing quality of the local press and the intermittent nature of the coverage by the property trade press.

Against this backdrop Thames Tap was launched and was subsequently joined by its sister journals, Eastern Echo and London West. More recently we have also launched two new supplements, Arc Watch and New Homes. Add into this mix the various events and awards programmes which we host and it has become obvious that we need a more sophisticated format.

Today we are really pleased to launch the new look Eastern Echo which will be complemented by the new look Thames Tap and London West over the coming weeks. Using both more sophisticated design and better software we are able to deliver more information to our total 7,250 subscribers every week. In the coming weeks, we will also launch a brand new awards programme for the East of England. To be hosted at Homerton College in Cambridge, the Eastern Echo Awards will be unique in their coverage and scope. More on this soon.

Many thanks to all our sponsors who have been so supportive over the past few years as we have grown. And finally, many thanks to all my team for all your patience!
