Wates Developments has applied to build up to 147 homes on land south of Chesterton.
The outline planning application to Cherwell District Council is for a 14.9-hectare agricultural site, south of Green Lane. Of the 147 homes, ranging from one to four bedroom properties, 51 will be affordable.
Open space and sports pitches are proposed on the eastern section of the scheme which is to be net zero carbon.
The team on the project includes Boyer on planning, Ayre Chamberlain Gaunt on architecture, i-Transport and Orion Heritage.
