Plans have been submitted for a Wild West-themed adventure golf course in Ascot.
David Johnson Golf has submitted proposals to Bracknell Forest Council for the project at Lavender Park Golf Centre in Swinley Road.
The site is currently a nine-hole course with driving range, golf shop and clubhouse but the applicant is seeking to add the 18-hole adventure course and expand the car park.
It will take up 0.45 of a hectare of the 0.77-hectare site.
The application’s planning statement by Chilmark Consulting, states: “The adventure golf course is intended to broaden the range of recreational golf facilities available at the site and widen the appeal and user experience for on-site visitors, particularly for family entertainment and younger demographic customer base.
“It will also serve visitors seeking an alternative golf experience beyond the traditional golf round and/or driving range. Importantly, the proposed use complements the primary use of the wider site as an established golf centre and provides an all-weather recreational facility that is less constrained by seasonality and daylight limitations.”
