Plans are being drawn up by Wokingham Borough Council for 130 homes plus a care home on land the authority owns near Winnersh.
The council’s commercial property department has submitted a screening opinion request to its planning department over the need for an environmental impact assessment to develop Toutley Fields, a 4.4-hectare site, currently used for grazing which is part of Toutley Depot.
The screening request, by WSP, states the council plans to seek outline permission for 130 homes plus a 70-bed care home with access from Twyford Road.
The site is close to the major Matthews Green Farm development.
