Bracknell Town FC has submitted plans to redevelop its Larges Lane ground for 164 flats and move its various teams to three new sites.
The club has almost 500 players across different ages and levels and wants to create a new stadium at a site, currently unnamed and under negotiation, while also securing two further sites at Ranelagh School.
The new stadium would have a 1,950 capacity and a 3G pitch. During daytime the stadium will be used for children’s education and, at weekends and evenings, for football matches and training. At Ranelagh School, there will be a new pavilion, three grass pitches on one site and a multi-use-games area on the other.
Plans for the Larges Lane site, drawn up by architects from Ascot Design, show three buildings of between three and five storeys, housing 80 one-bedroom, 80 two-bedroom and four three-bedroom flats. Planning consultant is ET Planning.
The proposed scheme has 162 parking spaces.
