Westmede Properties has applied to build 243 flats in central Woking.

The developer, along with Burleigh Estates, wants to demolish office buildings at Church Gate and Premier House in Church Street West as well as homes at 28-37 Vale Farm Road to build a block of various heights ranging from four storeys to 16 plus ground.

There will also be 413 sq m of ground floor commercial space, 70 car parking spaces 243 covered cycle spaces, private amenity space on terraces and balconies and a playground on the site which is just 0.42 hectares in total.

The flats in the scheme, designed by Aqua Architecture, include 171 with one bedroom and 72 with two.
