Plans have been submitted to convert part of The Atrium shopping centre in Camberley into a co-working space.
Locally-based IT services provider Projectfive plans to create a 1,765 sq m Login Business Café for remote workers in a section of empty units. Entry will be through a unit in Park Street.
The Login Business Cafe will operate over the ground, first and second floors and include a café, hot-desking spaces, dedicated desking, meeting rooms and a board room (which will have an aircraft wing as its table).
There will also be a large events space, break out spaces, video meeting booths and an after-work gin and wine bar where a daily TED talk will be shown.
There will be six levels of membership: associate/social, day, standard, executive, team and corporate.
The application’s planning statement by Bell Cornwell, concludes that the proposal ‘brings an exciting new concept to Camberley town centre of shared office space offering an office environment for remote working in the heart of the community, increasing the vitality and viability of the area’.
