The Fulton & Fifth development in Wembley has introduced nearly 300 new affordable homes, marking a significant achievement in Brent’s efforts to enhance affordable housing for residents.
Developed by Arada London, these 294 homes constitute 40 per cent of the entire project and are designated for individuals on Brent’s housing waiting list. The apartments, which range from one to three bedrooms, are built to a high standard and include private balconies or terraces.
This development has transformed a previously underutilised site into a vibrant waterside neighbourhood featuring 876 homes, new public spaces, improved walking and cycling routes, children’s play areas, and a green corridor along Wealdstone Brook.
The initiative not only addresses housing needs but also contributes to the broader regeneration of Wembley Park, creating a sustainable, mixed-use community that integrates residential, leisure, and workspace areas with high-quality public spaces.
Councillor Fleur Donnelly-Jackson, cabinet member for housing, emphasised the council’s commitment to maximising the number of council homes, stating that these affordable homes will significantly impact the housing waiting list and provide residents with beautiful living spaces.
Jonathan Seal, chief executive officer of Arada London, expressed pride in collaborating with the Council to deliver essential affordable housing. The project exemplifies a proactive approach to tackling the housing crisis, offering secure, long-term housing solutions for local families and enhancing the community’s overall quality of life.
