Completion of the s106 agreement to confirm planning permission for the new Oxford United stadium looks imminent following the publication of a draft, ahead of final checks and signatures.

Cherwell District Council’s planning committee voted to approve plans for the new 16,000-seat stadium at Kidlington last August.

The plans were also given the all clear by the Government which chose not to call them in, in October.

Now a draft of the likely final version of the s106 agreement, the final hurdle before the decision is rubber stamped, is being circulated to the parties involved.

A Cherwell District Council spokesperson said: “Cherwell District Council has published a draft engrossment version s106 relating to the Oxford United planning application.

“The final version of the document will now be subject to final checks and circulated for signature before being completed by the council in due course. At that point, planning permission can be granted.”
