Taylor Wimpey has released new drone footage of its emerging 1,730-home Wisley Acres community ahead of the first homes going on sale this month.
The regeneration of the former Wisley Airfield in Ockham, Surrey, will also comprise a wide range of community facilities as part of proposals to meet the need for new homes and infrastructure locally. The first phase of homes, to be known as Stratford View, will go on sale on 25th July 2026 during an on-site customer event.
Taylor Wimpey’s latest aerial footage shows the scale of the project, with significant groundworks completed this year. The video highlights new infrastructure, including the access road and new roundabout on Wisley Lane, as well as the 45-hectare Three Leys Park.
The footage also shows progress on the sales area and four show homes, which are nearly complete, as well as a number of homes that are already built to roof level. Stratford View will include a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two to five-bedroom houses.
Leon McGinty, acting sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey South Thames, said: “Wisley Acres will bring so many benefits to Ockham and the wider area, from much-needed new homes to high-quality community facilities and green space.
“As we approach the sales launch it’s fantastic to see the scale and pace of the regeneration taking place. Only by visiting the site can you truly appreciate what an exemplary new community this will become.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming our first customers this month, and we hope that people will share in our excitement at the potential that this development promises. I’d urge people to book an appointment to ensure that they don’t miss out on their pick of the first new homes.”
Alongside the homes, of which 40 per cent (692) will be designated for affordable rent or purchase, Taylor Wimpey is creating a wide range of green spaces and infrastructure that will combine to create a sustainable community with all the essential amenities needed for daily life.
Work is well underway on Three Leys Park, which is due to open towards the end of 2026. The park will be part of a wider network of green spaces weaving through the development, which together will deliver a 20 per cent biodiversity net gain – double the national policy requirement. Work on the Three Leys Visitor Centre, which will include a new café and community space, is due to start in July.
