Wates Construction has appointed Roger Forsdyke as UK operations director

Wates Construction has announced the appointment of Roger Forsdyke as UK operations director, reinforcing its ambitious growth plans and continued focus on delivering exceptional outcomes for customers across the public and private sectors.

Roger brings more than 15 years’ experience leading and shaping tier-one construction companies operating across multiple regions. He joins from Willmott Dixon, where he was chief operating officer of its interiors business and was formerly managing director of its southern construction region.

The appointment forms part of Wates Construction’s strategy to accelerate sustainable growth across public and private sectors, strengthen its national operational leadership and enhance its capability to deliver increasingly complex and high-value projects. As customer demand evolves, we continue to invest in the expertise, leadership and operational excellence needed to deliver exceptional outcomes while creating lasting social and economic value.

As UK operations director, Roger will lead Wates Construction’s operational teams across all regions, responsible for operational performance across our UK business, and champion the next phase of its business optimisation programme. He will take up the position on 1 September 2026.
