Two public engagement sessions will be held this month for residents to help shape the future of Bicester Market Square.

A consultation has begun by Cherwell District Council to seek ideas and a survey will help locals submit thoughts.

The Bicester Market Square: Have Your Say survey seeks to work on improving the area as a ‘vibrant, accessible, and inclusive space’.

Cllr David Hingley, leader of the council, said: “Market Square is the heart of Bicester, and this project is all about working with the community to make it a space we can all be proud of.

“We want to hear your thoughts and ideas for the future of Market Square – it’s your square, your town centre. By participating in this survey, you can help shape a place that truly belongs to the community. So please take ten minutes to share your views, and let’s work together to create something special for Bicester.”

Once ideas have been incorporated, further stages of the consultation process will allow for refinement to try to ensure the final design and business case align with what the community wants.

The drop ins are on:

  • Tuesday, November 26 at Bicester Library (10am – 4pm)
  • Friday, November 29 at Friday Market (9am – 3pm)

The survey will be available until December 29.
