A remarkable investment opportunity is being advertised to re-imagine the Culham Campus in Oxfordshire. UKPF consultant Hugh Blaza outlines what is on offer.

For many years, scientists at Culham Campus, just outside Oxford, have been seeking the holy grail of generating unlimited clean energy from sustainably replaceable resources.

Recent positive developments in the experimental work at the campus indicate that partnering with an investment arm is now desirable if Culham is to make the most of the opportunities which are starting to appear on the horizon.

Culham is operated by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), the executive non-departmental body which has been funding the world-leading research into fusion energy.

The site is large – some 190 acres – and the potential for repurposing existing and constructing new buildings is enormous.

The tasks for the investment partner include the creation of a commercial masterplan and delivery strategy, securing the necessary funding to enable the delivery of the aims of UKAEA, raising the profile of Culham to reflect the success of its work and attracting commercial occupiers who want to participate in the technology which UKAEA has developed.

Clearly an exciting and potentially game-changing opportunity for a visionary investment partner.

Deadline for responses is February 12.
