A 40,000 sq ft office building, just yards from Reading station, could be turned into flats under Permitted Development Rights (PDR).

Red Pinnacle has applied to Reading Borough Council for prior approval to convert the seven-storey Pinnacle building in Tudor Road into 70 flats.

The Pinnacle, which opened in 2008, is currently home to a handful of occupiers including Thames Tap partner Turley and shared office space provider the Curious Lounge which has the first floor.

Under the application, the building will be converted to 34 one-bedroom, one person flats, 31 one-bedroom, two person flats and five two-bedroom, three person flats. The site has 37 parking spaces.

The team on the project includes KR Planning, Architects At Studio on design and BWC on fire safety.
