Leading planning and design consultancy, Boyer (part of LRG) has announced the appointment of Emma Booker as senior planner.

A chartered town planner with over eight years’ experience in the public sector, Emma joins Boyer’s London and Wokingham planning teams, bringing valuable local authority insight and a strong track record in development management and enforcement.

Emma previously held roles at Stratford-on-Avon District Council as a senior planner (enforcement) and at Warwick District Council as a planning officer, where she assessed a wide range of development proposals across urban and rural settings. Her strengths include advising on complex issues relating to the Green Belt, designated heritage assets and protected landscapes.

Emma holds a Certificate in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University and an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham.

At Boyer, she will work on projects across London and the South East, drawing on her negotiation skills and deep understanding of local government to deliver successful outcomes for clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Grant Leggett, executive director and head of Boyer’s London office, said: “Emma’s experience working within local government gives her a well-rounded perspective and a clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities our clients face. She’s a great addition to our team as we continue to grow in both London and the South East.”

Emma added: “Joining Boyer presents an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while continuing to focus on areas I’m passionate about. I’m looking forward to supporting clients through the planning process and contributing to high-quality outcomes.”
