Logistics provider Aramex UK has taken a 10-year lease on an 80,782 sq ft building at Poyle Heathrow, an industrial scheme to the west of the airport.
The new space, Cargo 777, has been refurbished by landlord La Salle Investment Management. The letting doubles Aramex’s operation there.
The site gives direct access to the Heathrow Cargo Terminal, Terminal 5 and the M25.
Melinda Cross, head of London & south east Industrial & logistics for JLL, said: “It’s great that this deal has been completed amidst the backdrop of such a volatile time in the market.
“The letting to Aramex UK is testament to the excellent location of Cargo 777 – on junction 14 of the M25 and close to the Cargo terminal – and the continued demand for industrial space in the Heathrow area.”
Nneka Ejindu, asset manager for LaSalle Investment Management, said: “Cargo 777 was refurbished to offer a modern office specification and a flexible headquarters facility that would be an attractive site for potential occupiers.
“The facility includes three-storey office accommodation, which has given Aramex UK the flexibility to not only use the site as its main storage and distribution depot, but also as its headquarters facility in the South East, with Heathrow being a gateway to its markets. We’re pleased to have completed this deal on behalf our client in spite of such challenging circumstances.”
Altus was the joint leasing agent.
