The redevelopment of the former Aston Martin Garage in Hammersmith and Fulham has received unanimous approval from the Planning Committee, marking a significant transformation for the site at 12 Wellesley Avenue, London W6 0UP.
This project, spearheaded by Latifia Investments Ltd., involves the demolition of the existing dilapidated car repair workshop and the construction of a modern residential complex. The new development will feature a part one, part two, and part three-story building, creating three single-family dwelling houses on the northern elevation and a single-story detached dwelling on the southern elevation.
Located in the Ravenscourt & Starch Green Conservation Area, this site is strategically positioned at the western end of Hammersmith, directly linked to the West of Ravenscourt Park. The redevelopment plan includes the reinstatement of the public pavement, removal of a substandard parking bay, and the formation of four new on-street parking bays, enhancing the area’s accessibility and aesthetic appeal.
Designed by Roger Baxter Architects, the project aims to revitalise the 867 sq m site, which has been vacant for years. The transformation of this former Aston Martin repair garage into a vibrant residential space not only preserves the historical essence of the area but also contributes to the local community by providing modern housing solutions. This redevelopment is a testament to sustainable urban planning and architectural innovation in London.
