A business leader is needed to take up a non-executive director role with Thames Valley Berkshire LEP.

The LEP says the position has been created in response to challenges faced as a result of the pandemic and the plan for a ‘green recovery’ for the county. The role will be key to the LEP’s part in reaching the Government’s target of net-zero emissions by 2050.

Chief executive Alison Webster said: “Growing sustainability is integral to all of our strategic activities. We have a track record of investing in clean growth schemes and will continue to invest in business solutions that move the UK towards net-zero carbon emissions.

“But we know we need to do more and we are now seeking a non-executive director who can lead a strategic debate about the imperatives of the green recovery agenda for Berkshire as well as supporting this area in reaching the Government’s target of net-zero emissions by 2050.

“Our board represents a unique wealth of strategic and leadership experience and we want to build on that with someone that can help us transform and lead our green recovery thinking for a better Berkshire.”

Information and how to apply is here. Deadline to apply is March 19.
