Bicester Motion has appointed Bidwells as joint agent on its new innovation zone.
Bicester Motion Innovation is one of four zones in its masterplan for the 444-acre former RAF site alongside Heritage, Experience and Wilderness, part of a long-term plan to become a hub of excellence for the past, present and future of mobility.
Working alongside Adalta Real, Bidwells will provide support in prospecting new specialist businesses to join the existing community on the site.
The Bicester Motion Innovation development is intended to be a new hub for market-disrupting businesses in the mobility industry.
Mike Doran, asset management and leasing manager for Bicester Motion, said: “The addition of Bidwells to our leasing team for Bicester Motion Innovation will enable us to connect with an even wider range of innovators from across technology and mobility-focused businesses.
“We are looking forward to welcoming additional, market disrupting, specialists to our established community, to accelerate the development of new technologies in the world of motion, whichever form that may take.”
Duncan May, partner for Bidwells, said: “There are already several interesting tech businesses on the campus and we recognise there is an opportunity with the new Innovation Quarter scheme to build on this and develop the campus into the UK’s leading centre of excellence in the future of motion.
“We look forward to working closely with the Bicester Motion team and working towards realising this vision.”
Work on Bicester Motion Innovation is expected to start this year, with buildings ready for occupation in early 2025.
Experience and Wilderness zones, along with a new hotel are expected to be complete by 2030.
