Brent has approved the demolition of the existing hotel and replacement with a new building three storeys taller on London Road, Wembley.
The existing hotel, owned by the Adil Group, is part of the Maitrise Hotels chain in London.
The proposal is to demolish the existing three-storey hotel and erection of a new six-storey building comprising 53 room hotel with a basement level and nine residential apartments, ground floor cafe, provision for cycle parking spaces, bin stores and associated landscaping.
The existing building is a two-storey detached building with accommodation in the roof space as a hotel. It is located on the west side of London Road. The site is located within the Wembley Growth Area and Opportunity Area and within Wembley Town Centre’s boundaries. It also lies within an Air Quality Management Area and is within the boundaries of the Wembley Tall Building Zone.
