Over the last year Brent have spoken to a great number of residents and businesses to find out what matters most to them and what they want for the future of Church End.

This brilliant feedback and insight has helped Brent to shape a 20-year Masterplan for the area.

A Masterplan is a plan of action that sets out where new homes and community spaces should be built. It also recommends where new businesses will flourish and where green spaces and road improvements are needed.

This Masterplan will form part of a Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to be used by the council to assess planning applications submitted within the area.

Residents are invited to have their say on this document to make sure the future of Church End reflects the community’s needs, desires and aspirations.

Cllr Shama Tatler, cabinet member for regeneration & planning at Brent Council, said:

“I am incredibly proud that we are investing in the future of Church End.

“Together with residents we have created plans to build 1,300 new safe and secure homes, the foundation for every family to build upon, more attractive and welcoming green spaces, a revitalised town centre and a place for businesses to set up shop.

“This will bring a new wave of opportunities for local people and a big step closer to creating a fairer, more equal Brent for all.

It’s important that local businesses and residents get involved and have their say on the draft Masterplan and SPD, to make sure we’ve got this right and help shape a thriving future for Church End.”
