Logicor has secured a 21, 326 sq ft letting at Newbury’s Kennetside Industrial Estate to Thatcham Butchers.
The deal, in which the landlord was advised by Haslams Surveyors LLP, is the second letting secured on the estate in Bone Lane since Logicor acquired it in 2024.
Thatcham Butchers, originally a retail shop when the firm was established in 1985, which has grown to serve the catering industry, has taken Unit B, a self-contained industrial warehouse, on a 10-year lease without a break at a rent of £10.50 per sq ft. Haslams is joint agent with Quintons.
Only one unit remains available at Kennetside – 31,672 sq ft Unit D – which is due a refurbishment.
Alec White, equity partner and head of commercial agency for Haslams, said: “We are delighted to announce the letting to Thatcham Butchers and secure an expanding local occupier for the estate whilst minimising the landlord’s void period to just one month.
“Swift decision making and a slick legal process allowed us to complete the transaction in a tight timeframe. This letting further demonstrates the strength of the Thames Valley industrial sector, where we continue to see healthy demand.”
Bill Martyn-Smith, asset manager for Logicor, said: “We are pleased to welcome Thatcham Butchers as our latest tenant at Kennetside Industrial Estate and look forward to seeing them continue to build their business on the estate, supporting local jobs and industry.
“It was a pleasure to work with all involved in the letting. The estate is near full occupancy with just Unit D available, which we are due to commence the refurbishment of in the coming weeks.”
