Reading’s Calcot Hotel is for sale for £6.3 million through Colliers International.

The 80-room hotel in Bath Road closed when the first lockdown began in March 2020 and has never reopened.

It is privately-owned but had operated in recent years under the Best Western brand.

Colliers’ brochure states that while the 1.78-acre plot, which includes 165 parking spaces, can be sold as a hotel, there are possibilities for use as residential care or senior living accommodation.

Pre-application discussions have been held with West Berkshire Council over a possible extension of 25 rooms.

Colliers International is contacting the owner, who is based overseas, on our behalf and we will update when possible.
