Reading-based consultancy Campbell Gordon has completed the sale of a 500,000 sq ft business park in Gloucestershire.

Working on behalf of Mabey Group, Campbell Gordon sold Lydney Harbour Estate to Mercia Real Estate for an undisclosed price. The 50-acre site is let to 40 tenants.

Director Duncan Campbell said: “This particular disposal straddled the current pandemic. It was conceived and agreed prior to the Spring lockdown and has now been successfully completed.

“The sale is indicative of the strength of the secondary industrial investment market despite the current economic turbulence and has allowed Mabey to fulfil its aim of supporting the transition of the Estate into new ownership and the next exciting phase of its operations.

“This applies as much to the core Thames Valley market as it does to either end of the M4 corridor in Gloucestershire or London.

“We are advising on a number of industrial development opportunities in the central home counties and there is a real appetite from developers for good sites with good planning prospects.

“We don’t expect this to tail off as we emerge from the pandemic in the Spring of next year. In fact, if anything we expect demand to grow stronger still.”

Mabey Group was advised by Campbell Gordon and Kimmre while Mercia was advised by Hennings Hume.
