The RO Group announces that GRIDSERVE has expanded its Electric Super Hub at Solstice Park, Amesbury, adding eight new charging stations, as a response to increased demand at the site.

Located on the A303, the 160-acre Solstice Park development is an established destination for businesses and travellers, with a mix of national and international brands. Since opening, GRIDSERVE’s hub has provided charging powered by net zero carbon energy, supporting the growing number of electric vehicle users passing through the region.

GRIDSERVE is fully weather-sealed, as the chargers feature connectors that are engineered to be plugged in and removed during rainfall. Live electrical contacts are energised once the connector is securely latched.

Ed Davidson, asset management director at RO Real Estate, said:

“We are delighted to see GRIDSERVE further invest in its Electric Super Hub at Solstice Park. The expansion is a clear reflection of the strong demand for high-quality EV infrastructure at this key site.

“This continued commitment to sustainable energy aligns perfectly with the wider environmental focus of our group and enhances the offering at Solstice Park.

“It also comes at a time when the sector is benefiting from the UK Government’s £1 billion funding package announced this year to make transport cleaner, more affordable and less reliant on volatile fuel prices.

“With this in mind we remain committed to sourcing and delivering a growing pipeline of sites that bring together both drive-thru as well as drive-to retail alongside EV charging.”

George Lloyd, group head of delivery for GRIDSERVE, said:

“The pace of delivery we have achieved in the first quarter of 2026 is our strongest yet, and it is a real testament to the dedication and expertise of the team, as well as the long-term relationships we have developed with our partners.

“From concept through to construction and energisation, this rollout reflects a huge collective effort.”
