K2 Corporate Mobility has become the first occupier at newly redeveloped offices at 255 High Street in Guildford – at a record rent for the town.

The independent global relocation and professional services provider has taken 7,464 sq ft on the top floor – including a 700 sq ft newly created terrace – for its UK head office at the 42,500 sq ft building. The firm will relocate from Weybridge.

The deal, with Beltane Asset Management, involves a 10-year lease at a rent of £36.50 per sq ft.

Duncan Roe from Beltane said: “We are delighted to welcome K2 to 255 High Street and we are confident about securing further tenants to the building very soon.”

Cristian Postans from funding partner Chenavari Investment Managers, said: “Despite the current economic uncertainty, the K2 letting at 255 High Street demonstrates a continued occupational demand for best in class, modern office space in Guildford.”

Savills, Lambert Smith Hampton and Hanover Green acted for Beltane. Vail Williams advised K2 Corporate Mobility.
