A vacant industrial building in west Reading could become a new centre for gym and free running activity parkour.

Virtue Gymnastics has applied to Reading Borough Council, via Pegasus, for change of use of 8,600 sq ft 28 Portman Road which has been empty for four years.

The club is currently operating from three venues plus a number of primary schools.

In the submission to the council, club director Kara Chance states: “Many commercial landlords will not consider a change of use so this has limited our search considerably.

“It has been a long and difficult journey to find a venue as perfect for all our requirements as Portman Road.”
