The Mayor of London has given the go-ahead for the outline planning permission of the Cavalry Barracks regeneration by Inland Homes in March 2023.

The development is a significant step forward for West Hounslow, opening up an area previously closed off to the public linking Hounslow West Tube Station to Hounslow Heath and beyond. Placemaking concepts are at the core of this ambitious regeneration plan which will bring to life existing and new assets for the community.

Making efficient use of all available land is a planning imperative for meeting the Borough’s need for homes and keeping pace with a growing and diverse population.

The proposals will deliver 1,525 new homes, and the site will contribute to ‘good growth’, creating high-quality new homes and re-purposing historic buildings.

The Cavalry Barracks will provide 4.3 hectares of open space, approximately 3.5 times the size of Trafalgar Square, and over 2,600 square metres of floor space for shops, cafes, workspace and community use, fostering a vibrant community.
