Hounslow planning committee has unanimously approved the redevelopment of a site adjacent to 1050, Great West Road, part of the former Alfa Laval, for mixed use.

The proposal is for the redevelopment of the site to provide a new self storage facility and new light Industrial workspace / incubator units with associated car and cycle parking, landscaping and other works ancillary to the development.

The tall building does not go against with the existing landscape of the site. The design of the building has adopted an Art Deco style to complement the historical context of this part of Hounsloww. It would mainly defined by light brown facing bricks and black steel panels

The proposal is for a KARBON Self Storage facility.

KARBON self storage is a new Self storage brand created by EQT Exeter, a leading global alternative investment manager with €84bn. They have been seeking multiple sites across Greater London and key UK commuter towns including Watford.

The designs are by Threesixty Architecture and the agent is ROK Planning.
