Proposals for a new school in Brent have been submitted to the planning committee on the 22nd July 2020. The school will be a Special Educational Needs School (SEN) on the site formerly occupied by the Marylebone Boys School on Christchurch Avenue, London, NW6.

The proposal is for the erection of a four-storey SEN school (Use Class D1); creation of external playspace, provision of waste storage; creation of a new vehicular crossover from Christchurch Avenue; alterations to boundary treatment with associated landscaping.

It is recommended for approval as the site was previously home to the successful Marylebone Boys School which is now situated in the Paddington Basin. The site in the heart of Brondesbury has good transport links and is close to other local schools. The approval is subject to 17 conditions including details of bike storage, tree protection plan and the community use agreement.
