Oxfordshire resident and Savills UK director David Jackson has returned from Nepal after completing an18-day trek to reach Everest Base Camp, raising £5,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity.

He also climbed to the peak of Kala Pattha, which, at around 5,600m, provides the most accessible local views of Everest.

Mr Jackson, who is Savills’ national head of planning as well as sustainability advisory service, Savills Earth, said: “This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Nepal is such a beautiful country and the scenery in the approach to Everest is spectacular. I am delighted to have completed the challenge and to have done so for such a great cause is very satisfying.”

The Brain Tumour Charity, is the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally.

Mr Jackson’s Just Giving page is still open.
