Stakeholder engagement specialist and Thames Tap partner DevComms has appointed Steve Price senior director of its South East region.

Steve previously worked for Countryside Properties (now part of the Vistry Group) for more than 18 years. He worked within the major projects and strategic land team as a regional director (planning).

He has been at the heart of the promotion and delivery of medium and large scale residential-led schemes, principally in the East and South-East of England, and was a lead member of project teams on some high-profile developments including 2,400-home Kingsmere in Bicester. He also has experience in bringing forward commercial schemes.

He spent more than 15 years in local government where he dealt with planning applications, including major developments such as the London Gateway Port and Logistics Hub.

He has been heavily involved with stakeholder engagement throughout his career, including working with a planning consultancy in London, and has built up relationships with community groups, partners and councillors.

In his new role Steve will work on delivering largescale residential-led schemes to support DevComms’ reputation for delivering planning permissions through effective political, strategic and stakeholder engagement. He will also play a key role in shaping the company’s long-term vision and strategy for the South-East region.

DevComms chief executive Rob Allaway said: “We are thrilled to welcome Steve to the team. He brings extensive knowledge and fresh perspectives with him, which align perfectly with our goals and objectives. This is an exciting step forward as we continue to grow and innovate at DevComms.”

Steve said: “I’m delighted to join DevComms South-East at such a pivotal time, particularly with the significant changes in national planning policy and planning reforms and the Government’s growth agenda. I look forward to working with the talented team here to build on the company’s momentum and help drive the next phase of success.”
