Reading-based property consultant Hicks Baker has made two key appointments.

Richard Duncan (pictured left) and Dominic Faires have joined the business space and retail divisions respectively.

Mr Duncan re-joins Hicks Baker as associate director of agency (retail, restaurant and leisure) having previously worked for the firm between 2004 and 2011.  He spent the intervening years with a competitor firm and jointly running his own business, which he sold in 2022.

Mr Faires joins as director of business space (office and industrial) and brings over 20 years’ transactional experience across London and South-East property markets. He previously worked with a number of investors, developers landlords and occupiers. His role will include expanding the firm’s growing involvement in the life sciences sector.

Managing director Giles Blagden said: “Despite some of the obvious challenges ahead, we have a strong base from which to grow and we therefore look forward to taking advantage of the opportunities which will arise. We’re thrilled to have Dominic and Richard on board to continue to support the business and look forward to seeing what the rest of 2023 will bring.”
