Thames Valley Berkshire LEP has appointed two non-executive directors, both of them from Acclaro Advisory.
Acclaro director Sunil Shah and principal consultant Tracey Rawling Church will lead the LEP’s net zero strategy in a job sharing arrangement.
Mr Shah set up Wokingham-based Acclaro in 2012 to help organisations embed sustainability objectives and Ms Rawling Church joined the consultancy after more than 20 years working in corporate sustainability.
She is also chair of Connect Reading and co-chair of Reading Climate Change Partnership.
Chair of the LEP Bob Beveridge, welcomed the appointments and added: “Their deep experience and knowledge on environmental matters adds vital skills to our board to assist the implementation of our Recovery and Renewal Plan for Berkshire, which highlighted the urgency and importance of the UK’s net zero carbon agenda.
“The LEP has commissioned an initial study of the net zero strategies of our six local unitary authorities, as well as those of our businesses and anchor institutions, to identify and agree the actions needed to ensure Berkshire plays a leading role in the race to net zero. The report will be published in the Summer.”
