Plans for 350 Build-to-Rent flats go before councillors in Milton Keynes on Thursday (April 2) with a recommendation for approval.

Milton Keynes City Council’s planning committee has been recommended to approve Galliford Try Investments’ plans to redevelop the former head offices of Argos in Avebury Boulevard.

The applicant plans to demolish the vacant part five / part six storey building for its scheme which comprises three connected buildings of 10, 13  and 18 storeys.

A breakdown reveals the plans include 173 one-bedroom units, 175 two-bedroom units and two with three bedrooms, but there are no affordable homes included.

Just six parking spaces are proposed within the scheme although there are 130 spaces available on a nearby site.
