Our Head News Editor, Alan Bunce, has retired after over 10 years at UK Property Forums, part of over 30 year in journalism.
Alan saw out his career with evening drinks at Vino Vita in Reading, a town where he has spent much of his career, and spare time as a devoted Reading Royal.
Friends and colleagues gathered to celebrate his achievements, and Matthew Battle, managing director at UKPF, gave a speech describing how valuable and knowledgeable Alan has been during his time as News Editor.
Matthew later said: “Alan will be missed at UKPF. His knowledge and understanding of the Thames Valley and Berkshire market was extensive. However, all good things come to an end, and we wish Alan a happy retirement. I hope to see him popping up on the stands at Reading next time the TV crews arrive at Reading FC at Royal Elm Park!”
Alan passes his title as News Editor at UKPF to recent employee Alfie Morse, a law graduate currently undertaking further journalism studies alongside his work.
