An application for the erection of a detached building containing two industrial units, has been brought forward for land at Batch Farm in Clutton.

The application was made by R J Cox Civil Engineers, with Chaps Design acting as agent. The building would be used as an office with storage facilities and vehicle maintenance capabilities if successful, with eight full-time employees working on-site for R J Civil Engineers.

The site is 0.5 hectares in size, and currently has existing fencing and parking allocation, as well as pedestrian and vehicular access points, meaning no new access requirements are proposed within the application.

In addition to the existing parking allocation, which is comprised of 30 car spaces, the application would add eight new car spaces, two disability spaces, and two cycle spaces.

The industrial units each have separate use classes, one is B2 (general industrial), like the application brought forward last week at Williton Industrial Estate, and the other is B8 (storage or distribution).
