New council homes have been completed at the Golf Links estate in Greenford, giving local families, including Carrina Edwards and Luke’s household, the chance to move into modern, affordable homes.

The latest phase has delivered 143 new homes, 104 of them for council tenants at London Affordable Rent and social rent, as part of a long-running regeneration that began in 2013.

The development is designed to improve daily life and housing supply, with better outdoor spaces, walking and cycling routes, trees, planting, and a new play area. Fourteen homes have been adapted for wheelchair users, and the buildings meet Passivhaus standards, helping keep energy bills low while maintaining year-round comfort.

Council leader Peter Mason said the scheme shows how affordable housing supports health, work, and community life, while deputy leader Louise Brett stressed that the borough still faces major need, with more than 6,000 people on the waiting list. The project is part of a wider programme delivering almost 600 new council homes by the end of 2026, helping meet the borough’s urgent housing needs and supporting schools, GP surgeries, and other local infrastructure through Section 106 investment.
