Cala Homes has published a breakdown of community benefits it has delivered as part of its development at Great Bentley in Essex.

In collaboration with local authorities the developer has committed more than £884,000 to the community in s106 payments.

Great Bentley is Cala’s second phase of homes at Ufford Chase, a scheme of two-bedroom bungalows and three, four and five-bedroom houses. It is less than 500 metres from Great Bentley train station and seven miles east of Colchester.

This financial commitment includes:

  • £166,752 towards early years education
  • £487,785 towards primary education
  • £59,400 towards open space improvements
  • £45,200 towards healthcare improvements
  • £125,770 towards secondary education transport
