Planning consultancy Edgars has promoted three planners to senior level.

Alex Edge, Hugh Shepherd and Iain Summerwood have been promoted as part of the 14-strong Oxfordshire-based firm’s growth strategy.

Mr Edge started his career at Leicester City Council and joined Edgars in 2016 as a graduate planner. He specialises in development management, heritage proposals and planning feasibility appraisal.

Mr Shepherd joined Edgars in March 2019 from Peter Brett Associates. He started his planning career in the public sector before moving to the private sector. His experience includes development management, local plans, planning appeals and heritage proposals.

Mr Summerwood joined Edgars in May 2019 and has previously worked in both a local authority and a multi-disciplinary built environment firm. His experience includes  development management, planning applications, planning appeals and land promotion.

Edgars director Jayne Norris said: “We are so proud of Alex, Hugh and Iain. Their commitment to the company and their clients goes above and beyond. It is testament to their continued hard work and care for their clients that has resulted in this trio of promotions.
